NZ WESTERN RIDING FEDERATION 25 YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
To celebrate 25 years the Federation is putting together a booklet on the 25 year history and the inaugural development of the Federation.
We urge all the Western Riding Clubs and Breeds to be involved in the history, please put together your history and early association with the Federation of your club and any photos that pertain to the era so that you may be part of this historic occasion.

New rule - Novice Horse Reining
(c) Novice Horse Reining
As at 1st August, 2010 all horses will be eligible for novice horse reining, irrespective of previous competitions.
Once horses have attained 3 wins in novice horse reining they will be ineligible to enter the novice horse reining class the following show year, but will be able to complete in novice horse reining until 31st July of that show season.
However a horse that competes/enters an open or age division reining event (Junior, Senior horse reining) will be ineligible from that point and time to enter further novice horse reining classes. NZ Youth and Amateur reining classes will not effect novice horse eligibility.
Horses may be ridden 2 hands in a snaffle bit/hackamore or 1 handed in a curb bit regardless of the age of the horse.
